I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My mother is an artist as well (see: http://www.anniecampbell.org/), so drawing supplies were always close at hand. I spent 2 years at NYU for art, but wasn't enamored with their curriculum. Later, at 26, I found Columbus College of Art and Design and got my bachelors in their illustration program. It was a perfect fit for me.
I have always gravitated toward figurative story telling. Fantasy, science fiction, superhero art allows for quite of bit of dynamic figure work and hence my love for those genres. And because I'm still a young boy at heart who thrills at the adventures of Conan, Elric, Prince Valiant, Tin-tin and Tarzan.
